The offer

Individual developers in India can use GitHub Copilot Free for 2,000 code completions per month plus limited chat and agent usage with automatic model selection. Sign in or create a personal GitHub account at the claim page; no card is required, but this is not the paid plan and excludes the cloud agent and GitHub pull-request reviews. GitHub and Microsoft affiliates may use your prompts, outputs and code context for model training unless you opt out in Copilot account settings.

Who can claim it

  • For individual developers using a personal GitHub account.
  • Not available to users assigned Copilot Business or Enterprise through an organization.
  • GitHub requires users to be at least 13 and to meet any higher local minimum age.

How to claim it

  1. Open the GitHub Copilot claim page.
  2. Sign in to your personal GitHub account or create a free account.
  3. Start with Copilot Free, rather than a paid subscription.
  4. Use Copilot on GitHub, or choose a supported editor to enable code completions.
  5. If you do not want AI training on your interactions, opt out at github.com/settings/copilot/features.

Good to know

This is an ongoing limited Free plan, not a timed paid-plan trial. Monthly allowances reset; additional AI credits cannot be purchased on Free. Paid upgrades are optional.

No payment information required for Free. GitHub does not publish a fixed numerical free AI-credit allowance. Auto model selection only; cloud agent and GitHub pull-request reviews are excluded. Inputs, outputs and code context can train GitHub and affiliate models unless you opt out; the opt-out applies going forward and does not remove separate public-repository rights. Review and test generated code and check third-party licences.

Did it work for you?

Your vote is how a dead offer comes down: three or more "Didn't" in two days, outnumbering the "Worked" votes, and it is taken off the site.
