Runway Standard costs $15 a month, or $144 paid annually at a $12 monthly equivalent. We have not verified an INR checkout price for India, so these are Runway's published USD prices, not rupee quotes. Pro costs $35 monthly and Max costs $95 monthly.

We checked the official pricing page's Monthly and Yearly controls on 25 October 2026. The subscription links changed with the selected cadence. We compared published terms, not generated-video quality or a completed Indian payment.

Plans and annual billing

Individual plan Monthly billing Annual payment upfront Annual monthly equivalent Included credits
Free $0 Not applicable Not applicable 125 once
Standard $15/month $144/year $12/month 625 each month
Pro $35/month $336/year $28/month 2,250 each month
Max $95/month $912/year $76/month 9,500 each month

Annual upfront totals are calculated as the published annual monthly equivalent multiplied by 12. The $12, $28 and $76 figures are not month-to-month charges. An annual subscription still receives its plan credits monthly; it does not give you the entire year's allowance to spend immediately.

Standard's current pricing card includes access to AI video and image models, no watermarks and 4K upscaling. Pro raises the credit allowance and includes unlimited 4K video upscaling. Max adds one-month credit rollover and studio formats such as ProRes and image sequences. These are published features, not output-quality findings. Team and Enterprise are separate buying decisions; this table covers individual plans.

The catch

Credits are a spending balance, not a fixed number of videos. Model, duration and resolution change consumption. Runway's credit help gives Gen-4.5 as 12 credits per second: a five-second generation uses 60 credits and a ten-second one uses 120. Do not apply that rate to every model.

Standard and Pro monthly credits expire on the billing date rather than accumulating. Max allows up to one month of unused credits to roll over. Free's one-time 125-credit deposit does not expire, but it is not a monthly refill. Separately purchased credits do not expire either. The help page says paid users can buy additional credits with a minimum purchase of 1,000 credits; Free users cannot buy them.

We have not verified Indian checkout currency, applicable tax or payment settlement. No INR conversion is included. Check the final charge, billing cadence and renewal terms before paying; a lower monthly equivalent still means committing to an annual payment.

Runway Builders is a separate API offer

The matching live Runway Builders deal lists applications for up to 500,000 complimentary API credits for eligible Seed to Series C startups. Acceptance and the award are not guaranteed. This is an API startup application, not free Standard, Pro or Max, and not a consumer subscription discount. Read that deal's eligibility details before treating the headline as a saving.

FAQs

What is the cheapest paid Runway plan in India?

Standard is the lowest-priced paid individual tier on the checked official pricing page: $15 with monthly billing, or a calculated $144 annual upfront payment. We have not verified a local INR checkout amount.

Does Runway give 125 free credits every month?

No. Free includes 125 credits once, and that deposit does not expire. Standard, Pro and Max provide recurring monthly allowances.

Do annual subscribers receive credits monthly?

Yes. The official credit help says annual subscribers have a monthly credit date based on when the subscription began. Annual billing changes payment cadence, not the monthly allocation schedule.

Can unused Runway credits carry over?

Standard and Pro plan credits do not carry over. Max permits up to one month of unused credits to roll over. Purchased credits and the Free deposit have separate non-expiring rules.

Is the Builders offer included with a personal subscription?

No. It is a separate application for eligible startups using the API. A personal creative subscription and an API-credit award are not interchangeable.

Our take

Start with Free to understand credit consumption, then choose Standard monthly if you are still working out usage. Pro makes sense when 625 credits are too restrictive; Max is for a substantially larger monthly workload, not merely avoiding a small leftover balance. Annual billing lowers the equivalent cost, but we would not prepay a year before knowing how quickly the chosen models consume credits.
